These bars are my husband’s favorite. He can never believe it’s just 3 ingredients!

#### **Instructions:**

1. **Preheat your oven** to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8 or 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2. **Mix the ingredients.** In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Stir until a thick dough forms. It will be dense — that’s normal!

3. **Press and bake.** Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan. Use a spatula or your hands to press it down. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

4. **Cool and slice.** Let the bars cool completely before cutting. They firm up as they cool, creating the perfect chewy texture.

These bars have become a go-to in our house — especially on busy weeknights when dessert feels like too much effort. And the best part? They taste like you spent *way* more time on them than you actually did. My husband never stops raving about them, and I love seeing the look of surprise when he remembers they’re made with just three ingredients.

Sometimes, simple really is best.
